The SAT II subject tests are designed to evaluate your knowledge of particular subject areas and are used in college admissions decisions.
Given below are the 23 subjects that a student has to study to take up SAT II. Most colleges that require SAT II look for three tests: Math IC or IIC, Writing, and one additional test of your choice. About one-third of colleges that require the SAT also require two or three SAT II scores.

Most SAT II subject tests are given six times a year: in October, November, December, January, May, and June. Language tests that require listening are given only in November. Tests can be taken at most high schools.
